ABOUT KATIE INNES DESIGN

Katie Innes is an established freelance set designer and scenic artist based in Edinburgh. As the Design and Production Manager for Strange Town Theatre, she works regularly on their youth theatre and young company productions. She also freelances within both the corporate and theatre industries, including as acting Design Associate at Studio A who provide a bespoke service for pop up events, weddings and interiors.

Her work includes designing sets, props and costumes for clients ranging from small touring theatre to high profile clients, often working alongside the companies in their research and development phases. Her most notable work includes working as props assistant on the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014, and scenic artist on a variety of large scale productions and events with Big House Events, among many other event and film companies. Most recently, she production managed and designed the large-scale, multi-media event 'Gen Z: The Future is Unwritten' for Strange Town Theatre.

Katie Innes balances her creative career with being a mum. It is her hope that having a motivated, creative working mum will be a great inspiration to her daughter.
